1 year later

So as I'm sitting here watching the snowflakes try to fall from the sky, michael is taking a nap because he has a cold I'm watching Sex in the City and waiting for a friend to arrive to pick me up. It's a year later and me and Michael have happily stayed in Buffalo. he loves his job he loves his friend all of his friends i love my friends and we could've pray for anything better. We even went to eat at Uncle Joes dinner like last year and I got the same meat loaf sandwich. Thank you God for letting us make it. We have truly been blessed!!!!

Another hair cut!

So my new do was getting a bit out of hand wven though I just had it cut last month. But this time I went shorter and im guessing the hair dresser got too sciccor happy cause its short short like boy short. Its cute but not what I wanted at the time. Oh well it can only grow out from here.

Post surgery

So its been two days since my surgery and Im doing really well! I have very little pain and the soreness is fastly wearing off! Im mainly bored now. My husband has been a complete gem in taking care of me! I literally couldnt have asked for a better helpmate from God!

Brown Case in Ferguson, MO

So the police officer was not charges with the murder of Brown yesterday the 24th. And after that was released riots broke out and they set buildings on fire robbed liquor stores and motor part stores i mean seriously!? I know not all blacks are bad just like not all whites, Asians, french, German, etc.... are bad. But people in general need to learn how to conduct themselves better.

Snow. Snow and more snow!

So today is the 20th and it has been snowing since the 17th. We are currently almost next deep in snow. So far 10 people have died. Mike even had to go to the er on the 19th because of a bad pulled muscle. I just hope we can all be taken care of and that the rain that is coming doesnt drown us out to bad.

Hair cut!

So its a double feature today for blogs! Ive been on pinterest day and night looking at hair styles and today I finally got it cut! Its a little shorter than i think the picture showed but it still looks fantastic. Not only did i get my hair cut today i also got two scarfs and a free full size of lotion from bath and body works! How awesome is that. And Michael is going to get a massage Thursday so Merry Christmas to is early!

Wedding week

Yes I'm already married but on 11-08-2014 my best friend Susan got married to the man of her dreams Cody! It was such an honor to be apart of the wedding and it was great to get to see all my college friends! The visit home was also refreshing! It makes my heart sink to have to leave them but I had to to come home. I miss them so much! I just have to put all my faith in God every day to take care of them and I'm blessed that He does!

Fall weather

So apparently in NY you only get 2 weeks of fall weather. Its Oct. 4th and there was slush on my window from it raining. So sad! But it's been nice. I do miss being at Jones and going to the football game and sitting with the band! Oh well lol

One Year Anniversary

So its mine and Michael's one year anniversary!  I have been so blessed to have ever even known this man I get to call my husband! We have our down moments but they will never out weigh the good! He with God are my rock, or I should say my anchor!  If he knew even half the love I have for him (even though I don't always show it) he would be floored. I love you my darling forever and always. 

Post birthday.

So yesterday was my birthday and it was pretty darn good. Michael had to leave for VA but Jack and Maria made dinner for me. It was really nice. Steak and shrimp! But I'm 25 now and I can't believe it. I'm married have a good job and after my boob surgery well start trying for kidos.

Shipping off

So I had to drop Michael off at the airport this morning to get his rental car so he could leave for MI and call races. I was so sad. It's like not having your left arm while being right handed. You can still get stuff done it's just really hard and you don't feel complete.  Lucky for me I'll have him back tomorrow!!!!

Respect your elders!

So Im not sure why but older people have always struck a heart cord with me. I mean I have literlly cried before because I blew my horn at an old couple while driving. But Im currently at the track waiting on Michael to get off and there is this older man and he looks almost lost. Hes by himself (which kinda worries me) but you can tell that he has been coming to the track for years. I pray that if he's married his wife is still alive. I know if anything ever happens to my grandparents I will probably shut down for awhile. And when me and Michael get old and gray I will for sure spend every minute with him so that I can make the best of our time! But enough of my rant I just hope that everyone treats their elders properly and with respect.

Day in Canada

So for the horse racing world Sydney Weaver is a very well known name and I had the honor of hanging with her family yesterday! This girl is a true blessing to the world! She has genuine care for animals and people alike. The people that care for Sydney come in very large numbers. I honestly don't think there wasn't a person at the track who didn't know her.  But me and Michael also got to spend some time together while heading to Canada that was just pure relaxed time and not to mention we had lunch at this great road side restaurant called the Lakehouse man was it nice! Next time we head that way I'm getting their lobster roll! But I also had a smooth time at the doctor getting the biopsie done. So yesterday was just a blast!

So as I'm sitting in this pub there are 3 European men a talking about accents together and how their children talk. I think it's interesting to hear non Americans talk about accents.  I mean I'm really getting a kick out of this.

So I'm having to go through a bunch of test because my breast started putting a green liquid. .. fail.... but the doctor doesn't seem to think it's any thing to worry about since I'm young.  To me that doesn't mean crap but hey let's hope it's not cancer.

So me and my husband know 2 sets of couples that have been having issues.  One set the guy is golden and the girl is a bitch. The second set the girl is a crazy bitch and the guy is indecisive. It's been tough trying to help when you have a troubled person on each side. But me and my husband are trying because that's what friends do.

So it has been really hot these last few days but today was wonderful.  I went to the farmers market and picked up some goodies and then I tan a bit now I'm just enjoying being outside.  The breeze is blowing I'm under a great shade tree. God is good and life is grand.

The right shoes!

So in an attempt to become more healthy I've started walking the last few days. Today I thought I would wear my Nike Shoxs. Well that turned out in a huge blister on my foot. So I'm thinking I actually need a pair of shoes. Like need... I don't think I've ever needed a pair of shoes before besides the boots I bought to move to NY. Lol

Flowers

So I really like flowers.  Is it wrong to buy them for yourself? I don't mean like the planting kind I mean the supermarket kind. I don't think it would be. I mean people treat themselves to a bar of chocolate or a cupcake all the time so why not flowers!? I think next time I'm by myself I'm going to get some! 

Well rounded

So the more I look at pinterest and other sites and listen to music on google play I have noticed that I need to be more well rounded with events and music and other such things that way I have things to talk about when I met new people or even people I know. I use to be able to rattle off the names of bands when I heard their songs and I had to google them last night when me and Mike went out....sigh... I have started to learn more about horse racing which is vital almost when your husband is  a race caller lol. But I will start to read and watch the news more. Also I have come to the conclusion that I have become very lazy.... Since I have been off of my ADHD meds I have just ran down...That just means I need more coffee!!!! hahaha! Me and Mike are going to go to see the Fault in Our Stars tomorrow which I cant wait for!!!!!!

Visiting home

So I went home for my brothers graduation from Petal High School and ti see my mom get married. While I was there I was also able to visit Michaels parents who were in town for Chris who graduated the first phase of his drug program.  I also got to see my dad and visit for a while with him. I took a lot of photos of food while I was there because I would really like to start a blog one day about food. But in the mean time here are some pictures. 

Being sick

So the last 4 days I have been sick and my wonderful hubby has taken great care of me. So night I made him go play poker and get some relaxing time with friends. In the mean time I made a fantastic burger and had dessert outside on my yoga mat until it started raining. It's was nice though and I didn't mind.

Rainy Day

So today is the first day that it has actually been hot enough in Buffalo to turn on the air. I lasted until about 3:45pm and then I saw that it was 80 degrees in the house and I had to turn it on on. By the time I made it to work to see my best bud, it started to get really cloudy and Michael sent me a text saying that we were under a thunderstorm watch. And then out of no where it started raining.... But its nice to have the windows open and smell the rain!

A whole new world

Ok so Im sitting at the track (Buffalo Raceway) and there are so many people here for the KY Derby! I think its a cool sport to watch and come into. So I really want to go back to Disney. Yes I know my last blog was on Disney but on the way to the track Let It Go was playing on the radio and it reminded me again of how much I wanted to go back. If I could work there I so would. But I couldnt leave my sweet husband behind! Ever! Maybe one day they will take my idea up and put a Disney World/Land in New York! That would be awesome!!!!

Humbling moment

So me and Michael have been living in New York for 4 months now. We only live 1 mile away from the coast line of Lake Erie and while walking to work today I could smell that shore smell and it was wonderful! Who knew something so small could be so joyful!

So today is a rainy day. Me and Mike both have new bikes that we couldn't ride today because of the weather.... Sigh.... Oh well I'm hanging with my boy Justin watching him watch wrestling. To funny.

St. Patrick's Day

It's the day of my people. Yes I'm Irish/Scottish. I keep telling my husband do be surprised if our kids come out with red hair. Lol mine turns a dark red in summer time. I can't wait for spring and warmer weather to get to Buffalo!  We need it so badly!  This year I'm so planting a mini garden.

So since I love to eat and make food I came upon this idea the other day to start a food blog. I'm not sure when I'll start it but I will. Heck it might be tonight because I'm going to make some fresh ingredient lasagna. Mmmm can't wait.

So in an attempt to eat better I made my own trail mix at my local grocery store. I filled up half a standard size sandwich bag and it has taken me nearly 30 mins to eat half of that. Go me for eating better.

Better than a camera.

So I received some lovely flowers for Valentine's Day and I wanted to take some pictures and I kept trying to get my camera to focus and it wouldn't I finally gave up and grabbed my phone.... I'm so glad that I did. The pictures are wonderful!

So TMI time. I went to the lady doctor today and everything must have been good because she didnt seemed to alarmed over anything. So.... on the 26th I should find out whats up and hopefully I can get started on something to help with weight and everything else and in a few months we can start hoping for a baby and in the mean time we can practice away.
